A bunch of Making Waves (Catherine, Lisa, Natalia and John) have been at by: Larm Tech, Oslo's new tech and design conference, which was held February 12 to 15. Here are our favorites from the two days. Check them out too!
While contemporary art has stagnated and produced works that just as easily could have been made 50 years ago, takes young designers as well as the back of the pulse. We really love Skrekkøgles playful and experimental approach to borderland between art and design. Hope museums and galleries open their eyes to Horror lizard, so that plants may soon be experienced in physical format. Great good! Horror Lizard planning to start an online store, which will soon appear here. Grantonaut
Bengler Even Westvang has developed Grantonaut, a prototype for the visualization of Innovation Norway awards 2005-2011. Data Visualization is going to be increasingly important in the future, and is basically the new field datajounalistikk. I think it is sad to hear that this super useful solution probably will not be continued because the authorities in Norway and the EU changes the format of the data comes in, so they can not be compared from year to year. This is a democratic problem! -> Gran Tona Without Crowdfunding / Crowd equity: FundedByMe
What happens after the oil? We in Norway are not contractors of cultural nature, we are not known for taking risks and must leave the country kraftmaid cabinets to reach a larger market. FundedByMe is therefore a perfect way for any person to engage in business ideas of buying in, and for those in an 'angel' poor countries need support to start something. -> Fundedbyme kraftmaid cabinets Firefox OS for mobile
Based on open standards challenger Mozilla Firefox native-duopoly to Apple and Google and Telenor kraftmaid cabinets Comoyo have started experimenting. Comoyo suppose it will take a few years before apps in HTML5 format will be as good as native, but the benefits are huge - via the browser will one app to run on all phones. The operating system will also be lighter and can therefore be installed on less expensive phones. Perfect for Telenor's investment in emerging markets -> Firefox OS Capsule.fm
Capsule.fm been set up to listen kraftmaid cabinets on a chosen kraftmaid cabinets their own web (almost). It plays a live, interactive and customized listening experience from your online content. They take your custom content feed from text to speech, and generates a 'personal', spoken news feed to your mobile device. The Berlin-based company's goal is to eradicate kraftmaid cabinets text on our cell phones (aka a better version of Siri). The idea is something kraftmaid cabinets all wish were a reality, but unfortunately it falls a bit through the premature stage it is currently in. There are nevertheless quite clearly, is that whoever is able to crack the code from text to speech across languages - become a billionaire and genius! -> Capsule.fm kraftmaid cabinets Keeps The Word
What happens when political scientists meet developers? Yes, they are creating a solution to better understand the mechanisms of politics. Keeping the politkerene what they promise, they vote in line with what they say? These we will definitely hear more about when the election approaches. -> Keeps The Word? Ericsson UX Lab
The Norwegian designer Joakim Formo came and told how Ericsson relate to that there are now more things and homes than people who are connected online. We especially liked one of the experiments they had done to understand how the future will look like: What if one includes our things into the model we currently have for social networking with other people? -> Ericsson UX Lab Broadcasting Corporation
"Everyone" knows NRK Beta. And "everyone" knows the projects that come from NRK about the Hurtigruten minute-by-minute, quadkoptere or Norwegian Alfa. These experiments are inspiring in itself, but after the presentation we talked more about something else - how impressive it is that you get to this experimental culture in such a large and traditional organization NRK. -> NRK Beta Voy
AHO fellows who are working to demonstrate the technology around us - so that it can be understood and discussed better. Beautiful and thought-provoking comments on our high-tech present. -> Voy Anna Kirah
Anna always talk insightfully about user centric innovation kraftmaid cabinets and design, this time about 'The invisible heroes'. The lecture was unfortunately characterized by being the last (for tired people in the audience :) but the topic is important anyway. Lucky us, she should start with us! -> Anna Kirah RattleJam
