Plastic and heat is notoriously not the best, rather worst combination cupboard design in the kitchen because the plastic then leak more chemicals than otherwise. Because of that, I try to minimize the plastic in the kitchen. Teflon is not at all funny stuff ... Neither the manufacture or when we use it, but I hope it also is widely known? So therefore we go pans are cast iron. We have both a large heavy conventional boiler, but also a small lightweights! It is much lighter than usual because, in a new way, cast thinner without altering or impairing the frying properties. It is thus no longer blame the cast iron weight to stick to the Teflon. If now is not the health and environmental reasons is heavy enough to switch it off.

Inspired by you, I finally stepped away to Erikshjälpen yesterday and came home with two spatulas similar to yours on the spot for the nice price of 10 SEK. each.
